Argos
(Art and Restoration Glossary Operating System) is a project dedicated to the creation of a series of glossaries in the fields of art, artisan crafts and restoration. It is a free service offered on the internet. A team of experts from the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro created the glossary in Italian which then lead to a series of multilingual glossaries thanks to the collaboration with various European partners and the constant enrichment from the contributions gathered and monitored directly on the internet.

The pigments and colourants: 800 entries compiled in collaboration with the Departement Conservation et Restauration of the Ecole d’Art of Avignon. Pigments may be consulted by searching for keywords and browsing hierarchies. pigment
